An application must be submitted to initiate the process to have utility services connected at your new address. The City of Haines City Utilities Department services include water, wastewater, and solid waste collection.
It is requested applications be submitted at least 24 hours before the start date. Applications submitted for same-day service after 3:30 pm will be assessed additional fees. If a representative has not contacted you by noon of the start date or you are requesting same day service, please call the Utility Billing Department at (863) 421-3600 to confirm the connection. Requests will not be fulfilled on Fridays, weekends, or holidays.
A non-refundable, one-time activation fee of twenty ($20.00) dollars will be assessed when opening a new utility account. A deposit of $140.00 (inside city limits) is required for all residential accounts, and $210.00 (inside city limits) for all commercial accounts, some exceptions may apply, before service is turned on. Residential or commercial utility accounts outside city limits will be charged a 25% increase on deposit.
To open a new account, submit the completed Utility Application and required documentation to the Haines City Utility Billing Department by any of the methods below:

If you need to stop your current services, please submit the completed Stop Service Form to the Utility Billing Department by any of the methods below at least 24 hours before the requested date or call the Haines City Utility Billing office at 863-421-3600. Seasonal customers must complete the form.

If you need to transfer services, submit the completed Utility Application, and required documentation to the Haines City Utility Billing Department at least 24 hours before the requested date.

Miscellaneous
Late Fee
A utility bill is considered late if not paid by the due date. A late fee of $20 will be applied to the utility account the following business day after the due date, if not paid in full. The due date is noted on the bill.
Disconnect Policy
Accounts delinquent after 20 days will be subject to disconnection without further notice. In the event the customer has not paid before the disconnect date and is placed on the disconnect list, full payment of the utility bill, including additional service fees, will be required before service can be restored.
